Hardcover. Condition: Expert. Grit Jacket Condition: Good. Keulemans, J. Chiliad. (illustrator). xviii, 261pp westward bibliography and index. Illustrated w six indexed figures in text, and forty-viii indexed plates tipped in, none missing. These plates are colour reproductions of the stone-plate lithographs past J. Yard. Keulemans from the 2nd edition, 1888. Decorative fake-marbled endpapers. Blank bookplate neatly covers pocket remnant on front pastedown. Cloth w gilt stamped effigy on cover, black quarter-wrap spine w gilded lettering. Adhesive ghosts visible from prev use of cello record to agree DJ in identify Bottom edges are worn. Bottom back corner is damaged. Joints and hinges are sound, no cracking. Internally, there are occasional faint splatter stains, none affecting the plates, only suggesting the book was dropped, perchance in snow. Color illustrated DJ has seen previous repair including chipping to lesser back corner. Lib cat label on tail. DJ preserved in laminated comprehend. A fairly worn copy, simply with all the colour plates intact. This reprint edition of Buller'southward original work was revised and brought upwards to date by East. G. Turbott. Additional shipping may be required - 37x26cm.
